When I went out this morning, I checked on the owls and there where crows EVERYWHERE!

I know that crows and owls are natural enemies, but last year I just didn’t see the crows messing with the owls. This year, however, there seems to be an influx of crows in the area.

I saw all these crows converging on the hill near the cave. I ran home and got a different lens and the camera that I’ve been taking the videos with.

The crows were flying around and landing near the owls, it was pretty insane to watch.

I also took over an hour of video that I need to edit down to a manageable size. There are a few moments when the Male Owl gets agitated enough to fly towards the crows and puff up. I took photos for about 2 hours and for the last half hour the crows and the Male Owl had flown away.

I don’t know enough about birds to really understand what I’m witnessing here, but I knew I needed to go thru all the photos from today and post them before tomorrow morning, just in case there is more upheaval caused by the crows.

It’s late so the video editing will have to happen tomorrow.
