On April 2, 2024, the Owlets were in the same hide out… but unfortunately, they continued to just hang out… so instead of a video, here are a couple of frame captures…

I took a few days off for self-care, by the time I returned on April 8, 2024… now 7 weeks old, the Owlets had chosen a new hiding spot, were flying short distances, and continuing to explore further…
On April 9, 2024, they hid in a slightly different place… finding the Owlets are starting to become a “Where’s wowldo?”…
You might have noticed the fence in the way… I found a 4th location to see the Owls, this one comes with the problem that the fence gets into the frame in the movie, but they are so low into the canyon that I just can’t see them from the other vantage points. Apologies, but I haven’t found a better vantage point yet.
On April 10, I found Mama Owl right away, but it took me 30 minutes to find the Owlets, which in hindsight is amusing since they were mere feet from where they were the day before…
I did my best to zoom in to remove the bars of the fence when I could… this is three days of footage condensed down to a 4 minute video. It is mostly the Owlets practicing flight… Enjoy…
EDIT:(25-04-22) I took down the video to save space.
Whew! I’ve caught up! Woohoo!!!!
It’s time to pack up my gear and see if I can find the Owlets… it gets a little bit harder each day to find them. We’ll see if they can be found or if they have moved onto an area I can’t see.
Until next time…
