Yesterday I went on another walk with my 50mm macro lens… I was determined to not take photos of the flowers I had seen the day before, nor the pink or yellow ones… it seemed that there were no flowers to photograph… I went ahead and took a quick snap of some of the purple season flowers that were in a pretty arrangement that felt sweeping… but otherwise, I figured this was just one of those walks where there isn’t anything inspiring… I turned around and headed home.
Then I saw one of my favorite flowers to photograph… a little cluster of orange honeysuckle, there were just a few blooms and I almost missed them. Then I was nearly home when I saw a dandelion and took a few snaps of it as well.
That’s when I saw it… the teeniest, tiniest little rose (as small as the yellow sweetclover from my previous post) and an even smaller little blue bud… they were too small to photograph well with my 50mm macro… so I picked them so that I could put them in the dollhouse vases and photograph them with my 65mm 1-5x macro lens.

It was good to spend a little bit of time applying the things I’ve been learning the last few days, with my camera & macro lenses, flash, and lightbox. As well as presets in Lightroom and making collages in Photoshop.
I wonder what my muse has in store for me next.
Until next time…

P.S. I realized that you really can’t tell how small the little rose and blue bud are… so I today I took a photo with my ruler… I was also going to take a photo of the little blue bud too, but apparently when I added water to the vases today, the little blue bud disappeared! Oops.. Also the little rose seems to be opening a little, so in a day or two I might take more photos.
