I didn’t mean to be away from the blog for so long… I’ve been kinda busy. I’m currently taking a 6-week course, Peggy Dean’s Sketchbook Bootcamp, where I get a prompt on Mon, Wed, and Fri and a live online 2-hour workshop on Saturdays… somehow we are already starting week 3! Where did the time go? I’ve also been doing some health changes trying to mitigate my insomnia (more produce, less sugar, more exercise)… it seems to be helping.

Anyway, I thought I’d show my artwork so far from the Sketchbook Bootcamp. I’ll put a little caveat here, I personally don’t like to work in a book, I would rather do a small sheet a paper (4×6-ish), I mainly purchased this course for the traditional art, because I’ve been doing a lot of digital art lately and was missing working with my inks and watercolors. In this course, I’ve also worked with colored pencils, markers, and gouache. There have been some prompts that we were supposed to use paint pens, but I don’t have those, so I did mine in gouache…

In addition to the traditional art I was able to do two art pieces digitally… one was a tutorial from Lisa Glanz (giraffe) from her youtube page, the other was a live online draw-together event with Adriann Mai…
