I’ve had a great week playing around with various drawing and painting techniques. I’m still working my way thru the various classes from Workshop Week… which is actually June 2, but because I bought the access to the archives I can watch most of the classes now. So, I’ve been doing about a class a day… and then sometimes doing the assignment again more in my own style/ color palette. My muse is having fun, and that’s always a good thing.
Let’s see… I have 5 projects to show… Hmm looks like I was in a flower mood the past few days.
Mandala
I wasn’t sure what to draw on Monday, so I just kinda played around with a mandala… see my last post for the one from class.

Symmetrical Floral Painting
This was a fun one, Gia Graham, showed us how to use the drawing assist mirror option in Procreate to make this cute symmetrical flower arrangement…

.
Here’s the one I did in class… I redrew the flower centers because I didn’t like them…

.
The next day, I felt like doing it again a little bit differently… my color palette and a few friends added…

Mix and Match Floral Illustration

.
This was a fun class from Mabz Brisson, we started out with drawing big circles and then suddenly we had a page full of flowers and leaves… too neat…

.
I had to color mine… because coloring is my favorite part!

.
That’s all I have this week. If you are interested in these classes it’s still available… the Live Workshop Week starts June 2, 2025 and is free. If you want access early, or to have the classes forever to do at your own pace you can purchase the archives. I’ve been doing all the classes so far in Procreate, even though a few of the ones I’ve done were taught with traditional media, but that’s just where my muse wants to be right now. Who knows I might break out the traditional watercolors in the future, or not… it’s all good.
Until next time…
