Hey All! Wow so much has happened in the last 3-ish weeks. Soooo… we moved AND I attended a 6-day Art Retreat.
I had plans to post each day of the retreat, but I was so exhausted from the move that all my energy was spent at the retreat and then crashing at the end of the day. But I have LOTS of art to show-n-tell. In fact there is SO much art to show, that I’m going to break this post into several posts over the next few days.
If you been here often enough, you know that I really like how Peggy Dean teaches and I tend to sign up whenever she has a workshop. Well, Summer Creative Retreat is a free event every year at the beginning of August, so of course I signed up. It was so much fun… it was 6 days of Live Online classes from 6am-5pm (with a 1hr lunch). I immersed myself fully! I did start to loose some steam on day 4 and required a nap, so I ended up missing 3 classes that day. But I only missed 3 classes out of 60… so I’d say I did REALLY well.
Again, since we had literally just moved, as in, we were putting our office together the night before the retreat… I ended up doing all the lessons in Procreate — since my traditional art supplies were still in boxes. Which means I don’t have 57 pieces of art to show, but very nearly. The classes that were very much paper craft, I obviously couldn’t do in Procreate. But I purchased the Permanent Vacation so I can watch all the classes again at my leisure and do them traditionally if I want to later.
Day 1
Peggy kicked off the Retreat… it was a great first day…

.

I really want to revisit the watercolor classes and try them traditionally.
Come back tomorrow, I’ll show you day 2…
Until next time…
