Hey All!

I spent the morning playing. I purchased two hotpress watercolor journals (this one, and this one), so I’m trying those out. Also I wanted to see the colors, play with nibs, and various brands of ink. It’s been awhile since I played around with ink and watercolor and have forgotten how long it takes for everything to dry between layers. So I have several going at once and none of them done.

I was surprised when the Speedball Ink reacted to the water, I thought it was waterproof, perhaps it wasn’t completely dry yet. That set me on a set of experiments where I took pencil, watercolor, and ink and tried them out in different orders. I think I like pencil first, then ink, then watercolor… but I’m not sure yet.

I also don’t know why the snowdrops are sad… but I was totally making that face when I accidentally put my pinky in the ink…

It’s time to make food, hopefully I can work some more on this tonight, but if not I’ll work on it tomorrow.
