Hey All!

I had a pretty productive day… I finished one of the buttercup paintings…

I double checked my highlights and shadows by taking a photo and then removing all the saturation…

.

I could have pushed the shadows a bit more, but I didn’t want to loose the softness that watercolor gives, so I decided to call it done.

I also sketched more of the ideas my art club mates gave me for the second painting…

.

Then I brought them into Procreate to see which one I liked…

.

I liked the idea of the juxtaposition of the little ladybug with the big flower. I also asked my husband which one he liked and he too liked the ladybug (without me mentioning which one I had picked).

So I drew the little ladybug again and started to paint it in…

.

It might take me a day or two to finish that one… I have to do some errands tomorrow and I’m not sure how much time I’ll be able to devote to it. I do hope to do some drawing/painting tomorrow and I’ll post if I have something to show.
