Hey All!

Today was grocery day, which always wipes me out… but I was still able to find the energy to draw after a nice salad and some soup. 🙂

Originally, I was sketching some test drawings so that I could experiment with masking fluid and various shades of red & black watercolors… but I haven’t used my masking fluid since Inktober 2020, apparently.

I had three bottles… the opened one – the liquid was solid… I tried one of the others that the liquid moved when I shook it, but the top had started to solidify and smelled bad… so I threw them away. I went searching for a latex-free masking fluid because I’m allergic to latex and am not sure why I bought that other set anyway. It’ll take two days to get here… soooo I guess this experiment will have to wait. But here’s my sketches..

In other news…

I signed up for Sketchbook Bootcamp again this year. And the warmup prompts have already been emailed… so here’s my 1st warmup sketch…

That’s all I have for today… it’s late and I’m beat. Hopefully after a good night sleep, I’ll be right as rain.
