Hey All!

I had a pretty good weekend, it was nice to take some time off.

On Saturday, I attended a Live Online 2.5 hour Sketchbook Bootcamp Workshop… we played around with Posca pens and a limited color palette… here’s what I created following along…

On Sunday, I didn’t have much time to paint, but I wanted to test out an idea. I was wondering what would happen if I put the liquid mask over ink, because the pencil is kinda hard to see after I paint it red…

.

It looked like it would make a giant mess… so instead I decided to put the liquid mask over pencil (blue blobs on the eyes) like I had on a previous project…

.

Which brings me to today. I checked on the little experiment, and rubbed off the liquid mask… turns out it probably would have been ok… I’ll have to remember that next time…

.

I went ahead and started painting a couple of layers of the red…

.

While that dried, I started working on Yesterday’s prompt for Sketchbook Bootcamp, but then I needed an orange and I couldn’t find it because all the lids to my liquid ink are black… and I got side tracked with an extra project to swatch little circles and apply them to the lids so that I could figure out which bottle was the one I wanted…

.

It’s so pretty now and I’m glad I took the time to organize a little bit more.
