Hey All!

So you know how you can be working on something, struggling, but not really know what it is you need to ask, because you don’t know what you don’t know? Yeah.

I got an email this morning with the subject: “You left items at checkout”… it was the claymation clay I was thinking about yesterday. So I started playing around with the Willow drawings again… and I think as I was looking at my sculpt and trying to figure out what it was I was trying to do… it occurred to me that it wasn’t the stripes… it was the foreshortening, I think… you know when the object is pointing right at you… how do you draw that?!? It is something that I hit the wall on all.the.time! It’s the snout on a dog’s face, or a finger pointed at the 4th wall… or in this case, Willow’s feet… I think my next move is to look into figuring that out.

For now… I’ll show you what I worked on today. I also re-sculpted Willow again with my kneaded erasures…

So, yeah, I don’t think I need to buy clay… I think I need to research how to foreshorten.
