Willow Samara Seed Animation WIP (almost finished)…

Hey All!

This will be a quick one because I have some place to be in about an hour.

I worked on the Willow Samara Seed animation today. I keep running into not having enough layers, in which, I have to flatten some to create more… and I’ve been slowly reducing the canvas and repositioning Willow. Finally, it occurred to me to pull all the layer images to the middle, resize the canvas into something a little more reasonable (it was waaaaaay too big)… and then reposition Willow, again.

To the nondiscerning eye it probably looked like nothing really changed, but what it did for me was create the ability to have more layers. Layers are very important to have, and I’ve been spoiled and have always felt like I had unlimited layers… this has been a bit frustrating to have to stop and navigate a solution every so often. Ok, sorry, rant over.

I was able to actually to ink and paint more frames today… so I’ll show you what I’ve got…

.

Tomorrow, hopefully, I’ll finish this up. Now is the part where Willow wobbles, her spiral eyes spin in circles, the dizzy stars go around her head, and her hair and arms move… so even though it’s only a couple more frames… it’s a bit more work than just inking and painting. Oh and I need to clean up the background. See you tomorrow?

Until next time…
