Hey All!

I’ve been struggling these past few days trying to get back on track. I’m feeling a bit better today, but this weekend was stressful. I do have some things to show you tho.

Ok, I have a couple of timed practice sketches, a little bit of workshop, some gouache, and a few more sketches. I feel like I’m so behind on Procreate Bootcamp at the moment, but I’m trying not to get stressed out… it’s supposed to be fun! And there is no being behind, I have access to the prompts well after the bootcamp is over. Anyway, not to get into it… I’m just going to show you what I have…

Lizard

We saw this cute lizard, so I took a photo. Then I did three 30 second sketches, followed by three 1 minute sketches, followed by 5 min, then 10 minutes…

Pool

It is just too darn hot today to do an IRL sketch today, SoCal is in a heat wave. So I took this photo of the pool, because I thought those curvy chairs looked neat. I did three 30 second sketches… then my watch required charging… so I set the timer to do three 1 minute sketches. I set the timer for a 5 min sketch and it never went off… so I worked on the last sketch for some time, perhaps 20 minutes? …

Procreate Bootcamp Workshop #4

This doesn’t look like much… but we played around with Procreate Brush settings and this is the brush I ended up with at the end of the class… a kind of grass brush that slightly changes color with each stroke. I’ll probably watch the replay because we covered a lot and I had a hard time keeping up…

Gouache

I will be the first to admit that gouache is just something I’m not great at… that’s why I was taking the class! Plus it was with Peggy, so I knew I’d enjoy myself. 🙂 I was using water-based gouache and well, it reactivates with water. So even though the black paint was dry when I applied the blues and creams it would pick up the black it I made additional strokes. It is definitely a learning curve, I will have to find some time to practice… but this is what I was able to do in class…

21Draw – Character Design

I have all these classes I want to watch (Video on Demand), and instead of just collecting them, I should actually watch them, right? So, this morning, I stared watching one of the classes I’m interested in – Learn Character Design in 21 Days from 21Draw…

I’m slowly working my way back to getting more stuff done each day, while still trying to keep it fun. That’s all I have for today, see you tomorrow?
