California doesn’t have seasons like most places. Here in San Diego something is always in bloom. That is not to say that everything is in bloom at all times, rather, the plants are in tune with the subtle changes in the weather and they bloom in turn.
Around this time of year, several purple varieties decide that it is time to bloom, I have named it Purple Season. I have lived here about 4 1/2 years and I always mean to stop and take photos. Well, this year you are in luck because I spent two days last week pulling over to the side of the road to take photos of Purple Season!

There really is a lot of purple flowers. it is interesting that all these purple flowers bloomed together, I say it is a conspiracy of nature.
There are of course other colors out right now, but I always notice the purple ones because they seem to be the ones lining the hills and side streets. 🙂
Also purple and green contrast quite nicely so they may also pop out at you more.
