Yesterday I ran around doing chores and posted the day before’s drawings. But I still wanted to draw after I hit publish… so I started PB Prompt #6 – small, ordinary moments.

PB Prompt #6 – Small, Ordinary Moments

I’ve been doing such detailed work with the sketching exercises I’ve been doing lately, that I just wanted to put down something quick and easy.

I chose the day my husband and I shifted from being just friends to spending as much time as possible together (that was 34 years ago this summer!)

Low contrast was one of the elements of the prompt, that was the most difficult part!

Today, I wanted to see what it would look like if I altered the values some… this is what I came up with… I might have gone a bit too dark on the parking lot, but it does make the characters stand out more…

That’s all I have for today. Tomorrow I’ll be attending a live online gouache workshop, so I should have something to show on Monday, see you then?
